- scheduling employees to work-supervising departmental managers(housekeeping, room service, front desk, maintenance, etc) handling customer complaints- comp there room or offer future free stays making sure the hotel is profitable- making sure that advertising is allowing for enough of the rooms to be occupied so that they turn a profit- adjusting room rates is a big part of this making sure events go smoothly- weddings, conferences, etc.
- Front office management is responsible for staffing, co-ordination of maintenance, customer service and, of course, daily reconciliation of sales and expenses.
