computerized front office systems?

I need to know, the benifits of a computerized front office system within a hotel, and what they are.

2. I hope this can help you a little. I worked in Motels & Hotels for 15 years & I've done the front-office both manually & computerized. It's much easier, considering all the other work you may have to do, to be able to use the computer. I agree with your first answer there about being able to pay more attention to your guests. A major priority in working at Hotels. Most of my years at doing this job, I was the Night Auditor, so when I had to perform the audit (normally around 4 AM), that gave me time to get all my other work done, as far as getting the sheets ready for the housekeepers, setting up continental breakfast, ETC... I had no time to do most of these things before the audit was to run, because I worked at Hotels & Motels at the beach, so you have a lot of problems, especially with the locals.
